The former Prime Minister Michel Rocard "okay" according to the hospital

KOLKATA (AFP) - Former French Socialist Prime Minister Michel Rocard, 76 years, "okay" and was able to leave the bed a short time after surgery Saturday of a cerebral hemorrhage in Calcutta (India), a- t on Tuesday hospital officials.

Asked when he hoped to return to France, he replied: "I hope in 10-12 days may be To be honest, I hope a little less, but still do not dream.".

Mr Rocard had left Monday ICU after a brain scan which showed satisfactory progress.

MEP Michel Rocard had come to Calcutta to attend a meeting organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Michel Rocard, one of the great historical figures of the French Left, was Prime Minister of President François Mitterrand from 1988 to 1991.
